Biography:
Philip Robson retired in 2001, after 11 years as Warwickshire’s Chief Probation Officer. He was a member of the National Parole Board and the Chief Officer responsible for setting up the County Youth Offending Team. He took the national lead for information management on behalf of the Association of Chief Officers of Probation and was commissioned to produce the National Probation Service Information Management Strategy in 2002.
He ran his own management consultancy between 2001 and 2008, specialising in criminal justice and social welfare issues. Warwickshire County Council appointed Phil as the independent Chair of the national RYOGENS project in March 2003. the result in 2006 was a software product which enabled practitioners to share information about vulnerable children.
