Vehicle Licencing

• This is dependent on when you passed your test.
  
  - After 01 Jan 1997 the licence will have Category B1 (motor tricycles, quadricycles and 3 or 4 wheeled vehicles with unladen weight of no more than 550kg).
  
  - Between June 1990 and Dec 1996 the licence will have Group/Category B1 (motor tricycle with a max design speed exceeding 50kpm and unladen mass not exceeding 500kg).
  
  - Between Jan 1986 and June 1990 will have Category C (any motor tricycle (other than invalid carriage) weighing not more than 425kg unladen).
  
  - Between Jan 1976 and Jan 1986 will have Group C (any motor tricycle (other than invalid carriage) weighing not mroe than 410kg unladen (500kg laden)).
