Early this week the Home Secretary, Theresa May MP, launched a consultation paper “Policing in the 21st Century.”
This document contains a number of proposals for radical change to the future governance of policing including a directly elected Police and Crime Commissioner.
Oliver Winters, Chief Executive, stated “The Police Authority will be looking long and hard at the proposals to decide what is best for policing in Warwickshire before responding to the consultation paper.”
