Robbery, One Stop, Binley Woods
Incident 36 of 27 July
Police are appealing for witnesses to a robbery that occurred at the One Stop Convenience Store in Rugby Road, Binley Woods at 5.40am this morning, Tuesday 27 July.
One of the shop assistants was opening up the shop when a man grabbed her and threatened her with a knife.
He forced her back into the shop where he stole a quantity of cash.
He left the shop in an unknown direction and it is not known if he left the area on foot or got into a nearby vehicle.
The man is described as around 6’ tall, medium build with a deep voice. He was wearing a black balaclava, dark clothing and black gloves.
Officers are checking CCTV footage and making house to house enquiries in their search for witnesses to the incident.
An ambulance was called to check the woman over. She was not injured but extremely shocked by what had happened to her.
